Abstract
The newest Commentary on the Act no. 216/1994 Coll., on Arbitration Proceedings and the Enforcement of Arbitral Awards, is the first publication on the Czech market that reflects the legislative changes related to the recodification of Czech private law which came into force on the 1st of January 2014. The commentary newly includes explanations concerning self-governance of associations and proceedings held before the Arbitration Committee of Associations.
The commentary mainly focuses on practical issues related to all aspects connected with arbitration proceedings including reviews of relevant decisions by arbitral tribunals, case law and the argumentation of general courts during setting aside proceedings. It therefore serves as a valuable tool for attorneys, arbitrators and judges alike.
