The article is dedicated to the recent development of the european private international law with focus on the selected aspects of the choice-of-law and international procedural regulation and case law in insurance matters contained in regulation No 593/2008 on law applible to contractual obligations (Rome I), regulation No 864/2007 on law applicable to non-contractual obligations (Rome II) and regulation No 1215/2012 on jurisdiction and recognition and enforcement of judgements in civil and commercial matters (Brussels Ibis).
