Theological Faculty at the Humboldtian University? Humboldt and Schleiermacher

Abstract

Humboldt's idea of university was the unity of science and education. However, it si not certain if theology belongs to the science as a whole.

Schleiermacher considers theology a real science which requires a special faculty.
