Abstract

In our paper, we are oriented on possibilities of a research of PE teachers on secondary school (beginners) by the questionnaire method QTI (Questionnaire on Teacher Interaction). In total, the research sample contained 37 teachers (22 men and 15 women) and 450 pupils.

There was prooved that the QTI, which gives informations about interactive and communicational styles in eight octants (teacher who is organiser, who helps to pupils, who has an understanding, who leads pupils to responsibility, who is unsured, dissatisfied, admonish and strict) can be effectively used to gaining the results in the field of interaction types. There was carried out the self-evaluation of PE teachers as well as their evaluation by their pupils.

Except of high mentioned fact, there was carried out also the rate of concordance of teacher's self-evaluation and pupil's evaluation. Both groups (teachers and pupils) comment their interaction positively and they are satisfied with it.

Between groups of men and women, there are almost no differences in interactive and communicational style during PE lessons. Women evaluate themselves more positively than men, on the other hand, pupils evaluate better man than women as their teachers.

We don't have enough respondents in this research, so we don't present any teachers types of interaction. Neverthelesss, we assume that the results are very interesting and by connection of QTI and MADI we can gain important informations about teachers of physical education and sport.
