Abstract

The following article focuses on Josef Hochman's contribution to the Czech school of social policy. It depicts the lifework of this unfairly neglected theorist and shows it's current condition as well.

The article demonstrates ideological and other impulses, which affected him and the fact that he conveniently associated social doctrine with legal practice. It gives evidence that Josef Hochman's theoretical conclusions were drawn both from dynamical development of independent sphere of social law and continuity and stability of the Czech school of social policy that was created by it's great personalities.
