Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease which in the Czech Republic suffer about 850,000 patients and 200 000 has proven to diabetes, but does not know it. For the prevention of late complications is normoglycemia but securely achieve normal glycemia most patients quite difficult - simply therapies We can not fully replace a complex regulation that keep fluctuations in plasma glucose concentration with minimum amplitude.
The result of this condition is a high prevalence of the consequences of late complications of hyperglycemia.
