The current research relating to the Prague printer Mikuláš Konáč of Hodíškov has arrived at contradictory results. The aim of the study was therefore to re-examine the topic, based on the sources, and provide a review of and commentary on Konáč's theological and church-political attitudes.
The most significant change was Konáč's transformation from a tolerant Utraquist Erasmian during the second decade of the 16th century into an intolerant conservative Utraquist and traditionalist, but also an opponent of all heresies, which included the Unity of Brethren and also Luther's Czech followers.
