Abstract

The conference aims to present and analyze the vision of how language works according to Henri Adamczewski's metaoperational theory as applied to Spanish by Francisco Matte Bon. It consists of a theoretical introduction, in which the genesis of this grammar, its different theoretical grounds and a minimum of key concepts are addressed.

Different grammatical phenomena of Spanish as the couples indicative / subjunctive modes, simple / imperfect past tenses, simple present / present continuous, prepositions, lexical unities, word order are treated. For each topic (grammatical and lexical operators as well) a brief description of how they might be practically applied in SFL teaching is provided.
