Abstract

In the present invention, there are disclosed antituberculosis-active substances based on substituted tetrazole of the general formula I, in which X = O, S, SO, SO2; R = H, NH2-, C1-C11 alkyl, allyl, cyclohexyl-, benzyl-, phenyl-, phenyl- with electron acceptor and/or electron donor groups; R1, R2, R3 and R4 denote H or NO2, wherein when R1 and R3 represent -NO2, than R2 and R4 denote -H, or when R1 and R3 represent -H, than R2 and R4 denote -NO2; with the exception of 5-((3,5-dinitrobenzyl)sulphanyl)-1-phenyl-1H-tetrazole and 5-((2,4-dinitrobenzyl)sulphanyl)-1-phenyl-1H-tetrazole compounds. These compounds can be prepared by simple syntheses and are characterized by low toxicity and high activity against mycobactera including their multiresistant strains.

The invention also discloses a pharmaceutical composition containing as active substance of the general formula I, as well as the use of this substituted tetrazole as antituberculosis agent.
