Comparative study of environmental security frameworks in selected countries in security strategies

Abstract

The chapter compares a proposed general framework of environmental security with applied frameworks of security strategies of selected countries. Albania, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, USA and Great Britain were the surveyed countries.

The results of the comparison show that all components of the proposed framework are included in individual security strategies and environmental security is seen as a crosscutting issue of strategies.
