Abstract
The study deals with the difficult situation in the Catholic Church after 30 years war and the procedure recatholisation among the population. Although previously thought to be due to various drastic measures, most of the population of Bohemia was brought to the Catholic religion about eighties of the 17th century, according to recent research, it is clear that the return of the population to Catholicism was slower and far from simple.
