Abstract
From 9 - 11 April in the Austrian Supreme Court (under the auspices of the European Centre for tort and insurance law - ECTIL) was held the traditional annual international conference, whose theme was the development of European legislation in the field of tort law in the past in 2014 (14th Annual Conference on European Tort Law - Tort Law Developments in Europe in 2014). Conference consisted of two parts.
The first conference day international forum was chaired by Bernard A. Koch, attention was paid to individual European countries, the development of legislation and case law of tort.
Speakers in short speech were reporting on a recent state and development of tort law of their country, while always focusing also on interesting cases from judicial practice, which demonstrated different tendencies in the background of interesting or controversial decisions of the highest judicial instances.
