Abstract
Obesity paradox represents very interesting phenomenon: patients with increased weight have decreased mortality ratio than patients with normal weight. This phenomenon was described in patients with many fatal diseases, i.e. in patients with increased catabolism.
Pathophysiology of obesity paradox in patients with arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease even or diabetes mellitus is not yet underwood.
