Composition of carotid artery stenosis and restenosis: A series of patients assessed with intravascular ultrasound and near-infrared spectroscopy

Abstrakt

We demonstrate the ability of NIRS-IVUS imaging to determine various compositions of carotid stenoses. We performed NIRS-IVUS (TVC-Catheter, Infraredx, Burlington, MA, USA) in 65 patients during carotid artery stenting (CAS).
