Religious Ministers and Labour Law in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The lecture was held at the School of Law and Politics of Cardiff University in Cardiff on 5 May 2016 during the Cardiff Festival for Law and Religion. First the Czech Republic and its history was introduced, then the religious communities in the Czech Republic.

After that the description of relevant provisions of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms and the Act No. 3/2002 Sb., on churches and religious societies, was given. Finally the decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic and European Court of Human Rights, concerning legal status of religious ministers, were described.

The lecture was completed by the Power-point presentation.
