Abstract
The chapter deals with geopolitical position of Czechoslovakia and its importance during the bipolar division of the world. It comes to a conclusion that Czechoslovakia's importance has been mainly determined by its geographic location and existing spheres of influence, which made it a passive actor within the framework of European and global geopolitics.
