Abstract
In this paper a newly found archival source initially originating from the municipal office of Český Brod (it is an extract from original land registers of Vyšehořovice, that have not hanged over). This source allowed to reconstruct ancestry of František Jan Vavák, an amateur peasant chronicler and vogt of Milčice.
It was shown, than F. J.
Vavák doesn not originate from lower nobility (knighthood), but from the house of privileged peasants, who obtained the fortress in Vyšehořovice through a wedding after the middle of 16th century. In those days the fortress was used solely as a farm yard.
It has also been possible to approve relationship of the house members with Jan Letňanský of Vyšehořovice.
