Abstract
The presentation will introduce the life and work of Johan C. Criginger (1521-1530 ), Lutheran pastor, native of Jáchymov and the author of an important map of the Bohemian Kingdom (1568).
Unfortunatly, only copies of his adapted maps were preserved namely in the world-famous Ortelius' atlas Theatrum Orbis Terrarum. Many other copies were created directly according to the original of Criginger's maps.
It is evidenced by Salzburg map found by Prof. Kuchař in the 30s of the 20th century.
His maps of the Bohemian Kingdom will be presented in detail.
