The article is focused on the tort law area, in particular on the personal (direct) liability of employees for damages caused to third parties. In the beginning of the article the issue of the personal liability pursuant to the legislation valid until December 31, 2013, i.e. pursuant to the Labour Code and the Civil Code 1964, is explained.
Then, the description of this issue pursuant to the Civil Code 2012 shall follow, especially with regard to Sec. 2914. In the end there is a comparison of the Czech legislation with the legislation in the foreign (particularly German speaking) countries.
