Abstract

This publication deals with the succession planning in companies operating on the Czech market. The book focuses on the concept of people management in the context of social changes and possibilities how to select and develop successors.

It summarizes the essential characteristics and competencies of the current leaders and their successors+ and suggests methods and forms of their development. These types of development are about the challenges, which the leaders will be confronted in the following period.
