MIchal Pavlásek is an ethnologist working in Ethnological Institute of Czech Academy of Science in Brno and simultaneously teaching in Ústav evropské etnologie at Faculty of Philosophy at Masaryk university. His specialization is compatriotic settlement in Balkan and his publication S motykou a Pánem Bohem is connected with former articles dedicated to Bulgarian villages Svatá Helena and Vojvodovo, Romanian village Clopodia or Serbian village Veliko Srediště.
Peer rewied book is dedicated to narrative mediation of compatriotic society Veliko Srediště according to its oldest inhabitant Josefa Klepáčková (1925-2013).
