This study of the Structure of the Identity of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church attempts to explain what shapes the identity of the CHC. In the introduction it intimates that the identity of a specific community is not separate from universal Christian identity, but is a concrete historical explication thereof.
It further points out that from its beginnings, the identity of the CHC has been formed with exceptional regard for the quality of personal relationships. This has been visibly reflected in the creation of a dialogical liturgy in the national language, in the intensive activities of the lay community of the church, in the freedom of theological thought etc.
The study also focuses on the place of the CHC among other churches and from this perspective also examines its charisma and shortcomings. In the conclusion it stipulates measures which the church should take in order to reinforce its identity.
