Abstract
The seminar was focused on ecosystem valuation case studies in the Czech Republic, with special regard to nature-based recreation. It discussed recreation demand modelling and its pitfalls in this transition country; how it fits into the European and global context of non-market valuation of recreation resources, the application of the results in policymaking and identification of prospective research areas to strengthen the reliability of the results and possibilities of transfer of values.
