When is Said "Coca-Cola" or towards Creativity in Written Works of University Students

Abstract

The paper analzyes the language creativity evidenced in written texts of university students. It presents the topic as part of a discussion about students' communication and self-expression skills and mentions also the importance of appropriate communication forms in today's society.

The author presents one concrete type of a written assignment and an analysis of a texts collected over a long-term period. From the results of the analysis it is evident that most of student texts is mediocre; but certain portion of texts is created with an outstanding overall approach.

To sum up, for a continuousimprovement of communication creativity, a systematic school training is still necessary.
