Abstract
The Article deals in a comprehensive manner with the issue of the compensation for damage caused by a traffic accident in France. It analyses the basic preconditions for liability and the compensation scheme established by Loi Bandinter.
In particular it specifies the parties involved, the rights of the damaged, scope of damages with respect to particular harm, and it furthermore deals with the issue of social security, health insurance as well as the standard compensation procedure and terms.
