Abstract
The article is a part of the cycle "Heroes" in the periodical Dějiny a současnost. It presents the metamorphosis of the knight Gawain in the medieval texts (12th-15th century).
The article proceeds from the "Interpretative Seminar: Gawain the Knight across Medieval Cultures", led by the authors on FF UK in the summer semestre 2016.
