Abstract
The conference was focused on the elements of water and fire. For this purpose, I have selected three works of the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard: The Psychoanalysis of Fire, The Flame of a Candle and Water and Dreams and I have applied his thinking on a few selected novels.
In the first phase I focused my attention on the differences between the water and the fire. Then, I concentrated on common characteristics of these elements and the influence of one element to another.
All this process ends with the henomenon of the storm, when the water and the fire lost their form, culminating with this moment the mechanism of fusion of these nature elements.
