Abstract

In the Czech Republic so far unique archaeological research on the originally industrial suburb of Prague, today's district Karlin, uncovered past development of the area outside the walls of medieval Prague. The research had captured several stages of development of the site.

The remains of important and one of the greatest engineering works of the 19th century in then Czechoslovakia called Breitfeld-Danek (CKD) and several phases of rebuilding the plant, including structures such as chimneys, ducts, furnaces caliducts and others. From the previous period, when there stretched gardens, the site revealed two wells and many more.
