Abstract

The book focuses on the phenomenon of Central Europe viewed from an interdisciplinary perspective. It follows three thematic levels: Central Europe as a historical concept, as part of Europe and as a distinctive mode of thought.

Individual chapters define the term of Central Europe fluctuations within its space, in relation to events that structured the religion of Central Europe, the stereotypes in thought and the tradition of social sciences and social movements.
