PRIMARY EDUCATION PUPILS' SCIENTIFIC LITERACY DEVELOPMENT WITH A FOCUS ON CHEMISTRY: THE DISERTATION PROJECT PROPOSAL

Abstract

The contribution present a dissertation project. One of the project's aims is to improve pupils' attitudes towards science subjects, particular towards chemistry.

Another objective is to create conditions supporting pupils' inquiry-based learning to contribute pupils' ability to observe the environment around them, formulate assumptions about the course of processes and suggest activities to verify these assumptions. The theoretical background of the project, the type of research and research plan and the results of the partial activities within the dissertation will be presented.
