The poster is an overview of outputs produced by the Czech team within an international project SciVis - Improvement of interactive methods to understand the natural sciences and technological improvement. The project is coordinated by Martin-Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg (Germany).

Publisher Klett MINT, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice along with Charles University in Prague are the project partners. The coordinator as well as the partners share some activities and are responsible for some on their own.

The Czech team focuses especially on designing project courses and pre-service teacher training in this aspect. Attention was also given to ICT use in science education.

In this respect, science apps for tablets and mobile phones have been sorted and touch screen use in education was evaluated. Several sensors for experiment enhancement (thermometer, pH meter, gas sensors etc.) have been tried and their usability compared to traditional sensors by pre-service teachers from two universities and elementary school students with a use of a questionnaire.

Last but not least, an online game LandYOUs aimed at land use, biodiversity and sustainable development was tried at schools. Elementary and grammar school students (N=283) played the game and filled a questionnaire afterwards.

The project offers various possibilities for further research activities, sharing experience as well as international cooperation in the field of science education.
