The paper deals with the gender, age, education and activity-related profile of the ministerial staff of the Czech Republic. The analysis is based on our own research of the ministerial staff as conducted in 2013 (N = 1,351).
Based on processing of the results of our own empirical research, the study refutes the existing public myths about the ministerial staff and at the same time also corrects some notions of the ministerial officials with respect to their own work. On the basis of results of the empirical research are drawn conclusions that may also serve as an inspiration for similar investigations in other countries of Central and Eastern Europe that address similar issues as the Czech Republic.
