Abstract
Paper deals with personality of Jan Sádlo of Smilkov, who was a noble man in king's services and who lived at the turned 14th and 15th century. Paper tries to express elemental aspects of his life, which determined his life and tries to complete missing information about his family, property and social community.
Paper also deals with his service to king Wenceslaus IV.
