Abstract
The article presents the topic of library performance measurement. It describes a benchmarking method and how it can be used in the libraries.
The author mentions some benefits and problems of benchmarking. He describes the process of benchmarking in all its phases and he also introduces the benchmarking tools suitable for this particular method.
The article concludes with some examples of the application of benchmarking in the libraries in the Czech republic and also abroad.
