Abstract
The article deals with the issue whether European Union law obligation to EU law consistent interpretation of national laws also represents Czech constitutional obligation. This issue has been implicitely raised by the Czech Constitutional Court in 1996/13 Generali insurance company case.
It is presented in the article, that EU law obligation concerned is to be considered as an obligation which is not part of Czech Constitutional order, however which is compatible with Czech Constitution.
