Abstract

Accentual verse is a type of versification system, which is said to not exist in Czech literature. The text describes, what determines the choice of a particular type of verse in a certain national literature or its period and explains the principles of the accentual verse.

The Czech authors from various periods, whose texts seem to use a similar rhytm, are mentioned afterwards.
