The publication presents information about the historical development of international large scale assessment surveys, about their methodology and data analyses. It discusses the usefulness of the surveys and the legitimacy of their criticism.
Its main purpose is to contribute to the utility of the implementation of ILSAs in the Czech Republic. The publication focuses on five aspects of ILSAs: assessment domains, methodology, data processing, analyses and interpretation.
