Abstract
On 31 March - 2 April 2016 in the Austrian Supreme Court (under the auspices of the European Centre for tort and insurance law - ECTIL and the Institute for European tort law - ETL) was held the traditional annual international conference - theme was the development of European legislation in the area of tort law in the past year 2015. The conference consisted of two parts.
The first conference day the international forum was chaired by prof. Georg Codec (Vienna University of Economics and Business, an Austrian judge), attention was paid to individual European countries, the development of legislation and case law of tort.
Speakers in short succession after another reported on a recent state and development of tort law of their country, while always focusing on interesting cases from judicial practice which demonstrated different tendencies of the highest judicial instance.
