Abstrakt
"Policy Analysis in the Czech Republic" is the first comprehensive meta-study of policy analysis and policy research in the Czech Republic and it provides useful, original and unique data for international comparison. Following an introduction by the editors, Part I focuses on the 'Styles and Methods of Public Policy Analysis' in the Czech Republic, describing the historical origins and development of both public policy and policy analysis, their styles and methods.
Part II of the book examines 'Policy Analysis by Governments'. Besides policy analysis on the central, sub-national and local levels, it also covers the influence of supra-national institutions on Czech policy analysis.
Part III studies the discipline's application by 'Internal Policy Advisory Councils, Consultants and Public Opinion'. Part IV turns towards 'Parties and Interest Groups' and examines policy analysis in political parties, trade unions and NGOs.
Part V on 'Academic and Advocacy-based Policy Analysis' addresses media, think-tanks, academics and policy analysis instruction.
