An atlas of radiological anatomy is a useful aid in linking the site of pathological findings to the anatomical orientation and location for non-medical disciplines, and also for doctors, especially in outpatient offices. In the past radiological reports were only available as a written finding.

With the advent of PACS and CDs, the reports along with the images are now available on the wards and in the clinics, making it possible to compare the written findings and imaging results of the examinations, which bring patients to hospitals and clinics. One of the difficulties of communication between doctors and technical health personnel arises from the lack of knowledge of medical Latin terminology in these disciplines.

Therefore, in this publication the legend accompanying each image of 270 basic anatomical structures and organs, gives the names in Latin, English, French, German and Czech. At the end of the book there is a also an English-Swedish dictionary of the terms used.
