The series of papers will analyze the influence of classical languages, especially Latin, on personal development in its complexity. The analysis will concern several time periods.
The first paper of the series will focus on the second half of the 19th century and on the beginning of the 20th century, time that the classical languages comprised a substantial part of education at secondary schools and the effort to acquire classical knowledge was perceived as a uniting element of various nations within the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
