The weekly Židovské listy (Jewish newspaper) and the topic of emigration to Shanghai in the years 1939-1941

Abstract

From the end od 1939 until the summer of 1941 the periodical "Jüdisches Nachrichtenblatt - Židovské listy" (Jewish newspaper) published by the Jewish Religious Community in Prague and the Zionist Organization in Prague, kept briefing its readers on the possibility of emigrating to Shanghai. Židovské listy published a wealth of positive information on the life of emigrants in that city.
