The issue of the Holocaust in Czechoslovak film and television production in the period 1963-1967

Abstract

In the period 1963-1967, several important works on the Holocaust were created in Czechoslovak cinematography and television. There was a connection with the films of the turn 1950s and 1960s.

Three works were based on the books by Arnošt Lustig, who was also the screenwriter of the adaptations. All these films won prestigious awards at international film and television festivals.
