How to fulfil a legal duty to inform patient writing his/her previous expressed wish?

Abstract

Health Service Act demands, in connection with previously expressed wishes, that his/her physician should instruct the patient wishing to write his/her previously expressed wish. There is no nearer rule, how to do it.

Nevertheless, there is the duty. This article brings a basic structure of this instruction and its judicial, ethical, and concrete medical requirements.

The text is not a binding recommendation in this field. Author anticipates further discussion of this issue.
