The author shows on the example of the imitation of Regensburg pfennigs in the Pilsen Mint how innovations were introduced into 13th-century Bohemia. The article based on the hoard material clarifies the mutual contact of cross-border monetary areas in the high Middle Ages.
In this way, the study represents an important contribution to the research of the mint production in Altpilsen and in 13th-century West Bohemian Region in general. At the same time, the study can be also understood in a broader framework of the Bavarian-Bohemian relations.
