Lawyers attached to the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague treat in the three parts of this book the different challenges that various aspects of information technologies, their practical use as well as abuse, are currently presenting to the EU law-makers and enforcers. Their text does not want to offer a new holistic or philosophical view on the topic of IT and law.
On the contrary, it seeks to carry out a deeper analysis of a wide range of areas of law and types of legal regulation in order to bring to light a number of new opportunities and challenges that European Union law in particular has to face due to an ever expanding use of IT.
