Publication at Faculty of Science |
2016

Abstract

Significant changes in spatiotemporal relationships have transformed the organisation of society in recent decades. Therefore, new approaches are required to understand the spatiotemporal aspects of human behaviour and the dynamics of society in the modern world.

This paper introduces the possibilities and limitations of mobile phone location data in an attempt to initiate wider discussion among demographers about future research based on data obtained from new technologies.
