Summer school in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2016

Abstract

Studying geography not only lectures and field practice in the Czech Republic. Future geographers from the Faculty of Science can ride - this year as I do - even in distant Kyrgyzstan to fortnightly summer school of rock falls and landslides.

It runs in the Tian Shan mountain range and leads it to Dr. Alexander Strom from Moscow.

Rockslides and landslides are among the most dangerous natural phenomena in mountainous areas. The aim of this international school is to teach students to recognize different terrain slope deformation, to show them other methods of mapping and analysis used in the research.
