Abstract
The submitted text aims at some approaches in the area of education of minorities with emphases on Roma national minority in the Czech and Slovak republics. It emphasizes affirmative approaches in education and application of the European Chart of Regional or Minority Languages.
It comes out from the fact that the Roma were and are a heterogenic group, they have right to have their own culture, their own language.
