Abstract
The name of the genre translates as " a woman from the Kuṟava tribe" and for some scholars kuṟavañci is primarily a story about the Kuṟava tribe. Encouraged by numerous many remarks about the ethnographical value of kuṟavañci I decided to examine few texts to learn what kind of information we actually find there.
